The Deer Creek Book of Hours is an illustrated novel set in 1985, in the little town of Deer Creek, Pennsylvania.
It is written by an ex art history professor about an illuminated manuscript called The Deer Creek Book of Hours.
The Professor is trying to convince you of its worth - that it will benefit you and the town - aiming to review each of the brightly colored illuminations and exploring medieval European religious traditions, Pennsylvania German folk art, and Greek mythology along the way.
But there are complications; witches, a cake fight, voices from the beyond.
