Sunshyne

In this amazing new addition to the SunShyne interactive picture book series, SunShyne starts her first day of school. SunShyne is known for having really bad anxiety especially in new situations. Sometimes new experiences can seem scary and make us feel anxious or uneasy and that is exactly how SunShyne is feeling about having to start school in the middle of the school year. Her family tries everything they can to help her calm down and not be afraid of the sudden changes in her life including buying her a new pet. Anxiety is something we all struggle with including children especially when presented with uncomfortable situations so I felt it would be wonderful to create a character created in my image and based on my own personal struggles with anxiety in hopes of providing comfort to a child who may be feeling isolated because they are just a bit more nervous and anxious than their peers. This new amazing picture book series is wonderful for children between 8-12 years old.
