Ignoring the direction of his supervisors in the Norman, Oklahoma police department, detective Dirk Kloppman persists in looking for the missing Ricco.
When Kloppman is murdered himself on a rural road east of Norman, his murder remains as puzzling as the Ricco disappearance.
