SNUBBING POSTS is the result of months of intensive research and interviews with old canal folks, to many of whom the "Little Ditch" was a career. The historical aspects of the story are written with accuracy; the human part, the part dealing with people, is told with rare feeling for the color and atmosphere which distinguished the canal.
