The Great Plague appeared out of nowhere, sweeping around the globe in a matter of months. By the time patient zero was tracked to the Korean Peninsula, it was already too late. In the wake of the infection governments dissolved, infrastructure collapsed and society descended into virtual chaos. Those few who survived the disease were not the lucky ones, however, for the virus contained a horrific secret. It transformed the infected, mutating them into mindless beasts. Only those who had not yet entered puberty were immune. In the months following the Big Death the remnants of civilization huddle in tiny enclaves, teetering on the brink of extinction, their days spent in a desperate search for food. But it is the nights that prove most terrifying. Hunted by packs of wild beasts the survivors seek shelter in the dark crawl spaces of crumbling buildings, praying for sunrise when the beasts slink back into their lairs. Out of the ashes of a once-great civilization, survivors must band together under the leadership of cruel and dictatorial tyrants. But a few resist and become outlaws. Hunted by their own kind and pursued by vicious beasts, their only hope lies in finding a cure for the virus. Skin Walkers is a terrifying glimpse into a dystopian future where the only survivors of a global plague are the very young. In the ruins of decaying cities, the remnants of a great plague struggle to survive. With food stocks running low they must compete for survival, braving packs of deadly, flesh-eating beasts they call Sink Walkers. But the plague holds many secrets.
