Shunned

"None understands, no one gets it. I don't even understand.
The feelings wash over me, my own minds sick and twisted way of letting me know it's still powerful and can still create and wreak havoc on me at any given moment. Raising its ugly head like the dark beast.
Sometimes to be still and to be present isn't an option. Sometimes, the mind can overthrow anything. Just when you think you've mastered it, here it comes again with another curve ball to take you out.
Anxiety, depression and stress doesn't care about your age, your ability and your sex or even the colour of your skin. All it cares about is devouring a sound mind into a crumpled wreck.
We all wish to be able to control our anxious thoughts. We wish that we could use our strong minds to build on positivity and banish negativity but for some reason the latter seems to be the one thing the mind craves. Every day is a battle, A war inside that nobody else can see.
