Chloe's sister Marnie is murdered by her husband Joey Bennington, he insisted it is an accident and even gets away with the crime. Following the funeral, Joey disappears with his three-year-old daughter, Becky, and Chloe makes it her personal mission to find Becky and avenge her sister. It turns out finding Joey and Becky are two very different things.
Joey shows up when Chloe's father dies and again when her mother dies, lurking around with ill intent. Years later, through a detective agency, Chloe finds Becky in Florida. Marnie left Becky a huge life insurance policy, now worth over a million dollars-but nothing is simple or safe when Joey is around. He insists he deserves the cash, and so begins a battle to the death between two very tough families.
Soon, Becky's husband and young children become targets, and the game of survival takes them deep into the Everglades and into their darkest nightmares. Joey isn't afraid to kill for money, so Becky and Chloe have to find a way to fight back. With the help of local police and their own guts and grit, these women will protect their family and get back at the man who started it all by murdering an innocent mother.
