Released

Eric's youth is interrupted by his five-year incarceration in prison. Released, he comes out to a changed world that is both harsh and sweet. He seeks to connect: with his family and at a club for gay youth. Desperate, he journeys over a mountain range in a black sports car to reclaim his mother and sister. He faces formidable and tender realities. People around him carry on with their own lives with mingled dysfunction and resolution. He fails at some trials; and he is fortified by caring, kindness and courage.
