Rang barse

With its focus on women's identities and a range of challenges at different levels, feminism has become a prominent literary philosophy in world literature. Similar to other literary movements, fads, and ideologies in Urdu, "Tanisiat" (feminism) has made a name for itself in prose and poetry that is now irreversible. Because of its language and way of thinking, Urdu literature's "Tanisiat" has already reached the point where no literary history would be complete without include the works of women writers. This book "Rang barse," compiled by Farha Andaleeb, is a compilation of five short stories written by well-known female Urdu writers: Qurratulain Hyder, Mumtaz Shirin, Bano Qudsia, Masroor Jahan and Zakia Mashhadi.
