Sarah West, a charismatic five year-old child seems to be predisposed to a higher purpose. After exhibiting unusual behavior she suffers a strange and untimely death. Dennis Smith, an intelligent New England college student is striving to make his mark during tumultuous times. His competitive, wealthy upbringing coupled with a deep-seated desire for conquest leads him to Damascus, Syria for a summer break. There, his intelligence and desire to succeed meet with the approval of his host, Ali Hassan. While working and living with Hassan, Dennis eventually adopts his host's anti-American views. Steven Severn, a bored under-achieving research scientist, and son of a prominent Portland, Oregon physician is pulled into a classified government project to investigate the biological threat coming out of the Middle East. His employer, Chemcon Industries, has been approached to create a vaccine for a biological agent smuggled out of Syria. His everyday life gets turned upside down as he struggles with the classified nature of his new assignment. Through a mysterious phone book page, supplied by divine intervention, Steve comes in contact with Gail Tennant, a New Jersey office worker caught up in a situation beyond her control. With the aid of his friend and fellow Chemcom employee, ex-Special Forces agent, Jay Bastern, they to travel to New Jersey to investigate a mysterious phone call. When things go wrong, a desperate Steve contacts his CIA acquaintance, who plans an extrication operation. The exciting climax ensues. Will the CIA's counterattack stop the terrorist's evil plan? Will thousands of American lives be lost? Will Muhammad Rajah escape, or will he perish during his confrontation with the US government?
