Om Raising a Peruvian Inca Orchid Dog
The Peruvian Inca Orchid is a type of hairless dog that was developed in Peru. It is also known as the Peruvian Hairless Dog or the Peruvian Hairless Inca Orchid Dog. Fur is scarce on these animals, with the exception of the head and, in certain cases, the paws. Because they were used as companion animals and watchdogs by pre-Columbian Andean societies like the Incas, the breed is named after that civilization.
- These canines range in size from toy to giant, and they all share a refined appearance thanks to their smooth, porcelain-like coats. Pet owners who admire their unusual appearance will be pleased to find that these animals are also recognized for being friendly and affectionate.
The name "Peruvian Inca Orchid" combines the fact that they are native to Peru, the fact that they have long been associated with the Inca civilization, and the fact that their appearance has been likened to that of an orchid because of their graceful demeanor and the way the hair on their heads can evoke the appearance of flower petals.
