Plummet was chosen as a runner-up in the 2018 Whodunit mystery writing competition, but the editors liked it so well they decided to publish it too. "Books like this don't come along every day," says AAeB editorial director Hollis George. "I'm pleased to have it on our list of mystery titles. I couldn't put it down."
Jackson Peale is a former lawyer. Ran into some trouble a few years ago. Booze. Drugs. Lost his license. Works as a private detective now. But after walking up in a strange Charleston motel, he'd not been enthusiastic about finding a guy named Khalil. But the client was a mysterious woman who looked like a Kardashian with black hair pulled back in a ponytail, sunglasses, and a tight, tan dress that fit all of her curves.
