Places I Remember

She was adopted at age three. She was taken to a new country. She was dropped into an alien culture. She learnt a language that wasn't her own. But now she's going to change all that. This linguistic biography charts the narrator's life as she tries to live her new life in England, then her attempts to find her old life in both Taiwan and her original language: Mandarin Chinese.
