H. F. Beaumont's newest novel digs deep into one's emotions. The chief's teenaged daughter falls in love with a local non-tribal residence named Jameson Brown. This relationship was frowned upon by not only the tribe but the local community outside of the reservation. Morning Dove became pregnant, looked down on by the tribe for violating tribal laws, while the non-tribal boyfriend was forbidden to see Morning Dove.
