When a compassionate judge gives an angry and troubled young man the choice between going to a mysterious horse ranch in the western Rockies or going to jail, the choice seems obvious. But when he arrives with his parents at an old hunting lodge on Lake Sandoza, they soon realize this isn't like any place they've been before. Torn apart by frustration and bitterness after years of trying to control their wayward son, the parents are at their wits' end.
