Not for Naught, a biography by Arthur Lee Burns, is about a farm boy from Park Rapids, Minnesota who ends up in intelligence service for the United States Army. Alongside his most supportive wife and their three children, Arthur & family would experience the world as an outcome of his intelligence career.

In the telling of this collection of stories, Arthur documents once and for all, to his wife, three children, and future descendants, not only about his transition between "horse & buggy days to space travel," but also his unspoken career in military intelligence.

Arthur could only hope that after growing up in The Great Depression, becoming an American Soldier, taking his family across the globe and back again, & two tours of Vietnam, regardless of how it ended, it was all not for naught.

Arthur's memories span far and wide across four generations & the globe, each detail intricately woven with one another, to create the person he is today, always was, and forever will be.
