Om Noémia de Sousa
This work is the result of a research project for the completion of my degree and aims to carry out a study of Mozambican poetry, more precisely black poetry of Portuguese expression, that poetry which in the 1950s was characterised by conveying the marks of pan-Africanism and blackness. In this work, we deal with the poetry of Noémia de Sousa, in a study based on her book entitled Sangue Negro (2001), published by the Association of Mozambican Writers (AEMO). The intention of this work, which was transformed into a book, was to verify and analyse the marks of pan-Africanism and blackness in Noémia de Sousa's poetry, because it is known that this poet was a Mozambican voice that very early on asserted itself on the literary scene of her country and her cry went beyond Mozambican borders, her voice, carried through her poems, spread to many countries in Africa and beyond.
