Although the story is lighthearted and easy to follow, it has a deeper message and life lesson, touching on basic human feelings and emotions. All the illustrations are relevant replications of the originals by the author and have only been slightly modified for publication purposes. This book was edited and published by her eldest son, Edward F. Cassidy, and illustrated by her daughter-in-law, Judith Safari-Cassidy.
