The menopause hit me like a sledge hammer. As I shrivelled up and wondered where on earth the confident, capable woman I used to be had gone, I started my popular Facebook diary, expressing my outrage at the indignity of it all. It's a raw, honest, poignant and very, very funny account of the havoc middle age can wreck on us, and is suitable for men as well as women.
