Metal Man Walking

"Metal Man" Chuck - a former baseball player who once dreams of becoming another Johnny Bench - struggles to overcome great odds to make some sort of a life for himself in the Low Country of South Carolina. While searching the streets of North Charleston for anything of value, this homeless man finds an extraordinary item and makes a journey that - although short - is harrowing in the effort it requires. With new and unexpected resources at his disposal, Chuck checks in to a cheap, local motel and relaxes in luxury just long enough to remember his youth. While there, he takes time to reflect on both the capricious and serendipitous events that shape his life and to wonder where he might wind up tomorrow.
