Malashia's Magical Twists

Being different isn't easy and like most kids her age, Malashia is trying to learn to embrace those differences. Not understanding the powers her hair possesses, she's met by a pleasant surprise. She realizes the same thing she thought was a deficit, is actually her superpower! Through 'wash-day' and her natural hair journey she finds confidence, inspiration, and most importantly she discovers the magic of her twisted kinks, curls, and coils!

'Wash-Day', although necessary and a cultural staple in many Black homes, it can feel more tedious and dreadful than glorious and relaxing. Through this book, I aim to make wash-day a little easier through education and entertainment for the entire family.
Book includes: A natural hair glossary (to better understand common natural haircare terms) and detailed 'wash day' steps (for children and their guardians).
