Om Let The Story Be Told - Along The Shore
I am extremely honored to have the privilege to share with you just a small piece of my life through the lens of my camera. I am the fourth of eight children in my family, so you can imagine the stories I have and which could through photos be told! I was raised in a small county in southern Ohio. My father is a retired dairy farmer, and my mother is a retired nurse. They both sacrifice many things to see each of their children were afforded many opportunities. My parents serve as a guiding light, believing and inspiring me to reach forward. As I watched their examples and drive to attain new goals, even today, they silently tell me I can do it. It is to them, as well, I dedicate this book. My personal story is filled with many avenues and pieces of the journey of life, to find a starting place is challenging. Many factors have contributed to my story, but that is for another place and time. So, being this is an introduction of myself, here it is. Hi, my name is Scott Polley, and I am a person who loves to hear stories. My favorite and chosen way to share stories is through pictures. They allow me the opportunity for my mind to explore the story and to create my own story of what I saw when I snapped the shot. The style of my work does not follow or fully represent any famous photographer. I don't look for common sites where many people take pictures. As you look through my entire gallery of images, not many famous places are found. I call myself an everyday photographer. What do ordinary people see as they go through life? I look through the eye of my camera and try to capture what the human eye sees and hopefully express their thoughts. I love looking at everyday items and places, then express the story as the ordinary person, or at least me, sees. I desire through my work to inspire others to see the stories all around them and find a way to share them. In this first volume of my work, I share stories that surround rivers and other bodies of water. There are a few who just express water in a somewhat irregular way. So, get yourself ready to take a journey and see the story. As you look and study each image, ask yourself, "What story do I see"?Here's to the story!- Scott Polley
