Leonidas

Leonidas is an epic poem about the Spartan king by Richard Glover, an 18th century English poet and politician. The poem is written in iambic pentameter and follows the story of Leonidas from his rise to power to his ultimate sacrifice at the Battle of Thermopylae. Glover's work was considered a literary achievement in its time, and remains a classic of English poetry.
