A book of short stories, mainly about South Africans, that looks at some of the complexities of life faced by ordinary women living in a society of diverse cultures.
Muthal Naidoo was born in Pietermaritzburg in 1935. She studied English and drama at the University of Natal and worked as a school teacher for 45 years in Marabastad, Pretoria and Giyani, Limpopo Province. She has written extensively for the theatre as well as works of social commentary.
