Introduction to the Principles of Plant Taxonomy

Although one of the earliest of biological disciplines, plant taxonomy remains an important aspect of modern biology. A disproportionate emphasis on the practice of taxonomy has, to some extent, caused it to be seen solely as plant identification. This textbook attempts to redress the balance by providing an introduction to the taxonomic theory on which the identification procedure is based.
