I WISH I Had a Normal Mother

You know what they say, sharing is caring, right? Brace yourselves because this story is a banger! Ah, childhood memories. We all have them. Well, my mother is...let's just say she is a little different. Instead of normal motherly love and caring, I got myself a narcissist. Remember those moments when you brought home a stellar report card, beaming with joy? My mother had a special way of putting her damper on those moments. Yeah, thanks, Mom. That really boosted my self-esteem. Hey, her "support" didn't end there. Who needs all that encouragement anyway? It is by far overrated. On a bright side, it taught me resilience, and most importantly, how to find humor in those ridiculous and at times, sad situations- for I find laughter to be the only known antidote when dealing with narcissistic parents. Heck, maybe after reading this story you will appreciate your 'normal' mother after all!..
