Vaughan Whitlock visualises a stunning scenario created out of corrupting ambition, portraying a devastated world and the ruination of society as we know it. As the world spirals towards total war, the Australian government builds a survival shelter for a lucky few. The world they re-emerge into is bleak, empty and devastated. Angered by the damage wrought by men, society is soon dominated by women. They use genetic engineering to create a sub-race of obedient clones, and strictly control the fertility of the population. Led by one man who arises from oppression, a handful dare to resist, and to uncover the diabolical secret at the heart of the new society! There is horror, love, hate, loss, discovery and failure, but simmering beneath is the lust for power and control.
