"You are BRCA2 positive," reads the report. What !!? What am I to think of this test result as a 60 some year old woman. Yes, I had ovarian cancer as a 38 year old but have not had any cancer reoccurances since and there is no family history of any kind of cancer. Genetic testing was not even on the radar when I was a young woman and it has never occurred to me that I might carrry a gene mutation for cancer.
