Harmony's Story

The chalice is connected to the old gods. To the time of magic and myth. Every three years it chooses two names, the sacrifices. Fargeus city has stood untouched despite the many destructions that plague their lands. Safe from the waves of death that have claimed countless empires. Those born under the chalice's protection are blessed, gifted with magic from the gods. Gifts which demand sacrifice. This used to be literal, but in more recent times, it has changed. The sacrifices now have a year to fall in love with one another, or the old methods will be employed again. Blood or love, these are their choices. When Harmony Karmassas' name comes out of the chalice, soon followed by Thomas Zekes, a man she can honestly say she hates, love is not an option for her.
