Hans and Anna out of Bremen is a story of a struggle of love against the odds. It is a childhood love story overcoming class prejudice, family opposition, war, Nazi indoctrination and migration across the Indian ocean. From the cold grass peat meadows of north Germany to the scorching heat of the Nullarbor in the Australian desert, Hans and Anna resettle on the other side of the world. Armed with nothing but their love, they learn a new language and a new way of life. A branch of the family tree is transplanted across continents, grows and thrives.
