Om Furniture care
Everybody has a single piece of furniture that holds particular meaning for them. It may be a nightstand, a big dining table where your whole family used to gather for supper, an old bookshelf that held your childhood comic books, or a bedframe that you fell in love with right away. You would want to preserve the furniture, whatever it is, for many years to come. If given proper care, furniture crafted from high-quality wood that has been handed down through the generations can last far longer than you might think. However, you should be aware that even the highest-quality wooden furniture requires careful care because it is prone to abrasion and scratches. Avoid mistreating your furniture as one of the most important maintenance advice. When setting glasses or mugs on hardwood tables, use coasters. Avoid setting hot food down straight onto a wooden dining table without first using a potholder. Protect the dining table from spillage by covering it with tablecloths or placemats. Although dusting is not the most popular task, it is one of the greatest ways to maintain furniture. Airborne particles, however, coat wood in a thin layer that can damage the surface. Therefore, you need to dust frequently to avoid this accumulation. Use a cotton or microfiber cloth to prevent harm from the accumulated dust. If there are any carvings or difficult-to-reach areas, use lambswool dusters since they are an efficient dust-attractive material. To add gloss and protect the wood, most people use commercial sprays and polishes that contain silicone oil or petroleum distillates. These treatments don't provide the best protection for your wood because they can cause dust to accumulate and form a sticky film. If adding shine is your only option, make careful to buff the furniture to remove any accumulation.
