Fixing a boatload of bad karma is hard enough, but trying to avoid temptation and the law while doing it is almost impossible. I'm pretty sure I have the whole karmic debt thing figured out, but my latest client has a problem that could get us both fitted for a nice pair of cement boots. Maggie McLaughlin has had a dirty little secret hanging on the wall of her North Shore art gallery for decades. The million-dollar painting has been photographed, filmed, and admired by thousands of people - but now it could end Maggie's whole career. To fix the disaster, Maggie did what every rational person would: drove to Salem and shelled out seventy-five bucks to see a psychic. I'm no ordinary tarot-card reader. I'm the real deal as a psychic, but I also have a unique skill set to help clients like Maggie. Clients who made one bad decision and who deserve a second chance. This time, the other players in the game are dangerous and one of them might be more skilled than I am at running the perfect con. Nothing's going right on this caper. Every time I think I have a plan, someone throws a toolbox full of wrenches into it. I'm starting to wonder if my psychic skills will see the danger in time to avert an epic disaster. There's also a chance that good-old fate has decided a disaster is exactly what I deserve.
