An epidemiologist, he voluntarily relinquished his appointment as a Federal Chief Veterinary Officer to go into full-time pastoral ministry. He holds the Diploma in Theology from St. Paul's Theological College, Awka, Nigeria. Orafu is married to Mary Agugua, and they are blessed with five nice kids, Ijeoma, Rebecca, Prince, Dimma and Favour.
