Are you or a loved one still waiting? At an early age, we form hopes and dreams regarding our future. Fast-forward a few decades, we find that things haven''t turned out the way we imagined. We see others living out their dreams, while ours have yet to materialize. This book examines challenges associated with deferred hope and unfulfilled expectations. Rather than allowing the difficulty and pain of waiting to bring us to a screeching halt, we can live fruitful, God-honoring lives while waiting. Through my personal story, spending time in the waiting room, discover eight intentional choices we can make that will allow us to thrive when life hurts. "Dafnette addresses areas that some seek to avoid and aren''t sure how to confront. This is a book for those who struggle in silence as they find themselves in waiting periods longer than anticipated...I know firsthand the challenges that we both face in the Waiting Room. I applaud her transparency." ~Jumaine Jones, Lead Pastor of The Bridge in Silver Spring, MD and author of Lost In Love: Navigating the Five Relationship Terrains "Dafnette peels back the curtain to give us a raw, unfiltered, and engaging glimpse into the pain and confusion that sometimes comes with the mysterious ways and timing of God...Dafnette offers perspective and encouragement for those enduring the pain and disorientation of the waiting rooms of life and a blueprint for friends and family who have joined them there." ~Heather Zempel, Discipleship Pastor, National Community Church in Washington, D.C. and author of Amazed and Confused  Dafnette Jones serves as the Spiritual Growth Director at The Bridge in Silver Spring, MD. Her training in biology, education, and theology converge as she teaches, writes, and speaks. God''s Voice has been calling us back into right relationship with Him for many years."Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?" (1 Cor. 3:16)We are being asked this same question today by the Spirit of God. He is pointing out that we have failed to fully understand and embrace this fundamental Truth in our hearts and minds for centuries. We have not walked as the early church; or in His ''greater things'', because we have not yet fully understood and embraced the mystery of ''Christ in you, the hope of glory''. (Col 1:27) ''You are His Temple'' is a message specifically for our generation. This book not only shows all people who they are in Him, but identifies what has been hindering believers from growing up into the full knowledge of God for centuries. In the midst of worldly chaos, God is promising us the greatest revival the world has ever seen. He is shaking the very foundations of everything we have ever believed in; first in His people, and through them the world. Through this shaking He is bringing forth the Kingdom of God upon the earth. In response to the cry of our hearts for real change, He is calling out to us through obscure, wilderness voices to once again, ''Prepare the Way of the Lord''. This book is ''For such a time as this''. Lorraine Costain is a fellow believer who lives in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada with her family.

"Today there are approximately 1.2 million people living with HIV/AIDS in the U.S. Approximately 545,000 are black." What happened to the African American Church that was a pillar in society-is it gone forever? Dr. Brown says no. It doesn''t have to be read about only in history books. Prayerfully this book will serve as a new beginning in the African-American Church tolerance, counseling and acceptance of all in need of healing and salvation. When members of the Church and the community are knocking at the door for guidance, confidential counseling, and support, the Church doors must be found open and its people ready to serve. Following the teachings of Christ is all that the African American Church needs as their foundation in their response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic. It''s not the government''s responsibility, it''s not the doctors'' responsibility-it''s not even the pastor''s responsibility alone. The unified Church need to face the truth of their own backyards and purposefully become a beacon light in their corner of the world. When today''s black Church comes together to form unbreakable bonds, committed to tackling pervasive issues in a united front, the avenues of restoration will be blown wide open. We can look to the past to show us a better future, where the black church once again is an agent of change at the center of growing communities headed in the right direction. Dr. Brown is passionate about this sensitive topic that many African American Churches have shied away from confronting and others are ill-equipped to handle. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit he is compelled to bring to light this subject and place it at the door steps of the African-American Church.Dr. Brown holds both a Bachelor''s and Master''s Degrees in Religious Education and a PhD in Theology.

A century after Constantine, Alexandria remains the cultural center of the ancient world.  Festooned with erudite scholarship and debauched entertainment, it seems to be a stable cultural world which will last forever.  Yet deep spiritual currents are gathering beneath the surface of the sunny Mediterranean cosmopolis.  Crypto-pagans plot a restoration of the old order while a militant church party sets its sights on total theocratic control.  The great personalities in this conflict, priests and politicians, scholars and entertainers, wage an invisible war of subtlety and sabotage for control of the city, street by street, soul by soul. Yet, unknown by name to the urban public is a chaste young woman from the humble market town of Pihap-Illyon, sold into slavery and separated from her lover.  Between them they share an unenviable destiny which will upend the affairs of the city and its world.  For he has been chosen as a martyr in a cause which is not his own, and she is compelled to play the most mortifying role of all, as the Whore of Babylon. M.R.Sunwall is an American living, teaching, and writing abroad.  His present appointment is as professor of English and the Social Sciences.

Is it possible to go to sleep a vibrant, healthy, and active individual - and wake up, paralyzed, from the waist down? The frightening answer is, "Yes!" Patricia Brandon was newly retired, an avid tennis player, and had just returned from active trips to the mountains and the beach. Just three days away from her first trip to Europe, she was faced with sudden and frightening paralysis. What would she do? As a licensed professional counselor, she worked part-time for The Child and Adult Outpatient Counseling Center at The Carolina Children''s Home in Columbia, South Carolina, and continued to work there, post-retirement. She is a mediator for The Midlands Mediation Center, and Family Courts in Richland and Lexington counties in South Carolina. Patricia enjoyed playing tennis, riding bikes, camping, attending music festivals and concerts, and still plays guitar and sings in the contemporary service at her church. EndorsementThe Power of God''s Love, is a captivating book filled with power. If you enjoy reading non-fiction books with real-life testimonies and experiences, then this book is definitely for you. In all my years of reading, I never came across a book that literally brought me to tears. Not only that, but this book inspired me, motivated me, and gave key points to consider in my life and in my future marriage. It takes a lot of courage and strength to be able to bring back up the not-so-great experiences in your life and write about them. Nevertheless, the author was able to take an everyday subject and turn it into a compelling book. There are many books from a counselor''s point of view about marriage, but here is a book in the point of view of one of the spouses, on how God''s love restored her marriage. I recommend this book to married couples, soon-to-be-married couples, and those looking to be married in the future. Also to those who do not know how powerful God''s love is, those who experienced their parents'' divorce, and finally to those who are thinking about ending their marriage. This book is a MUST read. - Julian S. Price

All of us have faced, are facing, or will face, difficulties in life.  The author of Don''t Waste the Pain: God Can Use difficult Times to Grow Your Faith, tells of an extremely difficult period in her life. She had heard that God was and is a presence in the life of a Christian; however, it was difficult to see how these experiences came from a loving God. To investigate this claim, the author looked to see what the Bible had to say. Using the book of Job as a framework, the author parallels her life to Job''s life. The author then gives us some of the lessons which she learned throughout the process. The author hopes that someone will read this book and gain a measure of encouragement in difficult times.  Ultimately, difficult times come to everyone; the least we can hope to do is to not waste the pain of those times. We can learn more about God and about ourselves.

Chilling and riveting, My Business knocks the breath out of the reader. The second book of the series, it is both a knock out continuation that you will never see coming, and a rock-solid story on its own. This is gritty, intense storytelling peering from the shadows. Again the Old West threatens to swallow up and spit out those who dare call it home. Life is pain, hardship, loss, and bitter truths in this time of lawless, and sometimes soulless, strife-but it reaches out through universal touchstones of the human condition. R.J. Conn speaks to the juxtapositions of life: vulnerability behind aggression, the supple grated by the jagged. The two paint an elaborate world with watermarks from all eras and all places. All at once period and current, far and away, familiar and foreign, My Business speaks. A native of San Diego, California, married with four children; R. J. Conn is a veteran of the Vietnam War and thirty-seven years of teaching. He has hiked, hunted, and fished the backcountry of the Sierra Nevada; he has a deep love for the mountains, for their geography, and their history.  He also has a love for the Old West, for the trials, failures, faith and victories of those who lived through its stormy-sometimes beautiful, sometimes terrible-history. Above all, from the darkness of the Vietnam War to the majesty of the Minarets, he has found God to be constant, tender, and powerful.

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new; (2 Corinthians 5:17).As children of God, we have been granted partisan to participate in this world, in the flesh. God allowed this, in hopes that we would draw nearer to Him throughout our journey in this far away land from home. Part of this partisanship, is that we remain close to God and abide by His laws but our adversary the devil prowls about in search of God''s children to snare our feet. God knew of the enemy''s cunningness, which is why He sent us with a helper; the Spirit of truth. The Spirit of truth will guide us towards righteousness, but it is up to us to heed to the voice of our helper. When we don''t heed to our helper, we set ourselves up for a rough path to travel and this is the very reason why God sent His son to die on the cross for you and me.Jesus Christ is a new chance to make things right and He is our reconciliation back to God, but it is up to us to heed to the voice of the Holy Spirit. When we accept Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior we are professing that God''s way is the only way towards salvation but we must surrender ourselves completely through repentance, in light that Jesus will lead our path straight. When this happens, the very hallmark of this event will be "change" and this is the power of Jesus Christ. What I share with you is the truth, and with the deepest sincerity from the bottom of my heart. I remember heaven and I recall God''s wrath which has driven me in my journey here. The thing was, I did not commit myself fully with all my heart the way He commands, and this is why I went from one bad event to the next. We have been chosen by God''s grace but it is ultimately up to us what we do with it.Please read with me as I share with you my story and testimony of a time when I lived in the heavens, how I became corrupted in the flesh, and how I was able to get back on the right path towards God''s will for me. May my story inspire you towards repentance so that Christ may lead your way, and may all the glory be His, because He is the greatest of all.

This book on leadership came alive seeing the crying need of the work to be done in the vineyard of God. Blind leading the blinds, ordinary workers fighting for microphones on Sunday, ministers becoming gangsters, visiting members to destroy the work of God only because they want to control the set man and they want to rule the kingdom of God with their own canal mind. Heaven is not their goal, but they just want to fight for their own belly and their own fame. They feel so important to themselves and see the pastor as nothing. A pastor is a servant of God and must be respected. I learned from our teachers in those days that obedience is the greatest among the rules of God. An obedient servant will inherit his boss. Elisha did. A good follower will become a good leader, but today, a very bold follower, very insulting and ready to be unruly will be respected and, if possible, be placed over his boss. No. God appreciates followers that will respect and be obedient to his leaders so that he can be respected, too. Pastors are our spiritual fathers and they must be honoured. You can be older than your pastor, richer and full of wisdom, but he still demands your respect. They are sent by God, they are God''s generals and representatives. Please give them their dues.

The Bible is given to us by inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We know from scripture that the Spirit of God speaks exclusively of the TRUTH...testifying of Jesus. As we unfold the TRUTH of "A Tale of Two Kingdoms", it will be crystal clear which kingdom we are citizens of. Our current citizenship determines our eternal destination, so it''s gravely important that we understand the dynamics of both kingdoms and choose wisely. The design and goal of both kingdoms are polar opposites. The Kingdom of God ultimately produces life, while the kingdom of Satan only produces death. As you receive understanding on the simple reality of these two kingdoms, the "gray" areas of morality and righteousness will be as they truly are, black and white.
