    av Andrea T St Louis
    207,-

Have you been restless, stressed, or simply overwhelmed by the clutter and chaos of everyday life? Living in such hectic and tension-filled times, we can find ourselves uneasy, weighed down, and weary - physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Despite our desperate need to hit pause, it just seems like life keeps moving, the world keeps turning, and time keeps ticking. 40 DAYS LIGHTER is a daily invitation to set aside the clutter, distractions and burdens we've carried for so long, and enter the rest that only Christ can give. It is a call to lighter living, laying down the cares that make us weary, and heeding his words: "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."Andrea St. Louis is an Educator by calling and profession, serving as a teacher in her local church, and working as a Lead Adjunct Professor at a local women's university. She is a current student in the Master of Arts in Urban Ministry Leadership program at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston, MA. She also holds an MBA in Entrepreneurial Thinking & Innovative Practices from Bay Path University, and a Bachelor's of Science in Management from Saint Joseph College (now the University of Saint Joseph). av Joan Cullins Fountain
    220,-

Johnny McLane was born in South Hampton County, Virginia, on the eve of the turbulent decade before the American Civil War. Attempting to fulfill his deceased father''s dream, Johnny travels westward alone across the high plains coming upon the fledgling settlement of Sideling in the Wyoming territory. There, he is drawn into a formidable realm of spiritual, social, and political unrest. The stoic marshal reluctantly hires the unpretentious twenty year old as an apprentice peace officer, and Johnny immediately collides with the settlement''s deviant vagrant, intriguing young school marm, and a cattleman''s fiery daughter.Although the Emancipation Proclamation is now the law of the land granting freedom and equality to all men, Johnny recognizes that many, including himself, remain enslaved by the masters of lust, power, greed, prejudice, and fear. The traumas of war have left him weary and the mores of his upbringing seem insufficient to sustain him. Trapped in a tangled web of deceit and haunted by his past, there seems no way to escape. Subtly, inner promptings urge him to believe that he may have exchanged his father''s ultimate truth of freedom for a lie.

This book tries to objectively access which is more viable? That you and I were made in the image of God, or, as a result of an explosion which took place. This explosion (Big Bang) introduced molten space debris which over time slowly started to coalesce forming larger and larger celestial bodies. These galactic bodies would eventually become trapped, unable to escape the gravitational effects of larger celestial bodies. In our case the earth became trapped by the gravitational force of our sun. As the earth began to cool a single cell formed, this single cell would then repeatedly mutate over the next billion or so years, eventually forming you and me. At the completion of this book, regardless of whether or not you believe in God, the reader would have to objectively access that, by means of the information provided, the probability of one of the two current beliefs, either God or Evolution, becomes an academic pursuit which simply is unsustainable.

My greatest fear is members of the Christian community may be basing their eternal salvation on a prayer they once said, or, perhaps their attendance at a sports arena where they came down onto a grass infield and repeated what an individual on stage told them to say. OK, so what? Isn''t eternal salvation a gift given by our Loving Abba Father God by way of His great mercy and grace? YES! However, the nature of a gift is its presented and then received. God''s gift to the world is Jesus Christ. Did you choose not to receive God''s gift, or, did you receive it and place it on a shelf? When you take your last breath, your eyes will close, but only for a moment. And when you open them again standing in front of you in all His power and majesty will be the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, God Himself. At this junction if your free will choice, prior to your death, was to not believe in Jesus Christ, then everything that precedes from that point on becomes moot, your eternal fate has already been determined. Now, what about the person who claimed they did believe, the one who proudly declared they had excepted the gift? What will that self-proclaimed Christian say when Jesus asks them, "What did you do with the time I gave you?" Will they respond, "I said a prayer once!" Will that be enough? What If?

The book is written with absolute certainty of what Christianity means to humanity. The sixty-six books of the bible are the only Living Scripture required by a human soul to return to the Maker. Faith is a product that came from eternity returning to eternity. The book differentiates the Dust on earth to living or dead. The living dust shall enjoy the marvels of creation and the promise for humanity while still breathing air on earth while the dead dust will strive to reason everything until they reach their grave.Book is a challenge to anthropologists and archaeologists as the writer believes the bible as written. The Author of the Bible did not give the writers the revelation of the Word. They wrote in their own language what they saw, heard and lived. The revelation of the Word is given only to the Children with contrite spirit predestined by the Maker. The Creator has a plan for every human born to this world. The redemption of a soul is a process of sanctification and may even take a whole life time for some, another a few years to be transformed and finally cruising to eternity? These were the experiences of the early Christians before the turn of the century.“When Steven looked up he saw the heavens open”. The first martyr for Christ!

Throughout the ages, recorded history confirms murder is one of most horrifying actions taken against humanity. Why certain people commit murder is open to dispute largely because the exact cause or causes have not been firmly established. These disagreements give rise to wondering about murder causality. Dr. Henry says that we need to go well beyond mere wondering in the physical realm in order to unravel the mystifications of murder. He declares we should consider that answers to this dilemma can be revealed by Biblical writers who were inspired by God''s Spirit. He also says that only when we break free from confinements and usual limits of the tangible world in a largely secularized world culture can we develop insight of the intangible spiritual world. Some would call this approach a mental-thought process of "thinking outside the box" while many theologians and clergy would label it "transcendence into the spiritual domain".Therefore, Dr. Henry''s intent is to decipher the perplexity of murder from a Judeo-Christian perspective. What he found out is there are several factors that play a part in murderers, which include spiritual unawareness, envy, heart hardness and evil desires.

My name is Iris Garcia-Curbelo. I was born in the beautiful Island of Puerto Rico on December 15th, 1962. I lived there up to the age of six. I moved to New York City and lived in the Bronx and Manhattan. It was then I felt a missing fragment in my life, a piece of puzzle that was lost or had been misplaced. As a child, I enjoyed making puzzles and still do; it is my favorite hobby. I incorporated writing my emotions down on paper and reading the Scriptures which lead me to prayer and seeking God. I concluded that I had many questions and tiny broken pieces within me that needed to be worked on. I then recognized the connection of a hobby I loved doing, connecting my own life misplaced pieces and the importance of being connected to God and His word. These connections can unveil beauty, truths and spiritual change. I have written this inspirational book in hope to inspire, and share God''s word and my divine pieces of hope interlocked together through faith piece by piece. We all have a story, testimony or a message we want to convey. In my case I want to let others know they are not alone in their brokenness and that there is hope through God''s blessings. God has blessed me and He can do the same for you. Trust God and delight in His faithful provision and care as He takes piece by piece and direct your spirit for His purpose and glory. My legacy, my puzzle consists of Faith, Love and Hope filled with Forgiveness and this is my testimony and my message.

  • av Dr Robert A Morey
    192,-

This Book is paramount for Pastors and Theologians because of the confusion over Covenants and the Old & New Testaments and the Law.The relationship of Gentile Christians to "Mosaic Covenant" laws found in the Old Testament was the first controversy that threatened to split the infant Church. The Book of Acts records that the controversy became so heated that the Apostles had to hold an emergency meeting to debate the issues and give their ruling. The Epistle to Galatians reveals that the issues were not a mere "tempest in a teapot," but actually involved the nature of the Gospel itself. Dr. Morey cuts the Gordian knots and explains the relationship between the Covenants and the Testaments and examines Dispensationalism, Covenant Theology and Dominion Theology. He answers such questions such as "What about food laws under the Mosaic Covenant?" "Is the Sabbath for today?" Recommendations for Book"One of the most important works ever written in the history of the American Dispensationalism vs. Covenant Theology debate. Dr. Morey''s groundbreaking work scholastically clarifies the nature and number of the covenants, dispensations, etc. Every pastor and every Bible student should read this!"Dr. Brian James Shanley, President Of Sovereign Grace Institute Of Apologetics "Dr. Morey''s vast knowledge of the languages, texts, and times of both the Old and New Testaments come together to explain precisely how and in what ways they relate to each other. He has written a masterpiece for those who want to increase their knowledge and understanding of Scripture. His discussion of the nature and number of the covenants and the dispensations, the sabbath, the distinction between the covenants and the testaments, the law and the Torah, etc. are absolutely amazing. I enjoyed reading and learning from this book. Thank you, Dr. Morey, for another great book that very Bible student and pastor should read."Rev. Dr. Charles H. Christopher (B.A., M.Div., D.M.)"Why is the book entitled ''How the Old and New Testaments Relate to Each Other'' by Dr. Morey so important to the Evangelical Church, especially Sabbatarians? Why is there so much confusion about the Old Testament? Dr. Morey clears up the misunderstandings by explaining the difference between the Old and New Testaments (a literary document) and ''Covenants'' (agreements made in time and space). Dr. Morey reveals that that are four ''Covenants'' in the Old Testament: 1. The Noahic Covenant; 2. The Abrahamic Covenant; 3. The Mosaic Covenant; and 4. The New Covenant. Only the ''Mosaic Covenant'' was defective and obsolete and replaced by the ''New Covenant''! Because of the misunderstanding of equating the ''Old Testament'' with the ''Old Covenant'', this has led many Protestant/Evangelical churches and cults such as Herbert Armstrong''s Worldwide Church of God adhering to food, civil and ceremonial laws (Sabbath keeping, Israel''s festivals, etc.) in the ''Mosaic Covenant'' and thinking that the ''New Covenant'' is a polished version of the ''Mosaic Covenant''." Didymus, PresidentNew Jersey Institute for the Advancement of Truth (NJIAT)Dr. Robert A. Morey, (Ph.D., DLitt et Phil, D.Min., D.D.)Faith Defenders http://faithdefenders.com Dr. Robert A. Morey is internationally respected as one of the best theologians and apologists in the 21st Century. He is the author of over 60 books. Dr. Morey''s educational background includes Classical Greek as well as Koine Greek, Hebrew, philosophy, "Jewish" and "Rabbinic writings" such as the Midrash, Mishnah, Talmuds, Dead Sea Scrolls, and Apocalyptic literature. It should be noted that Dr. Robert A. Morey as a young protégé with an IQ of 185 was selected by Yale University in the tenth grade of high school to become part of the School Mathematics Study Group (SMSG).

It is going to be a different summer for Charlie and Ray Clawson in 1965: one that would be filled with playing outdoors in the sun, time with Grandpa and being away from their parents. However, the summer would prove to be a memorable one especially for Charlie in The Charlie Clawson Series: Wisdom & Courage, the latest young adult book series from author R.C. Nolte. Eleven-year-old Charlie is a typical boy who is tormented by his brother, Ray, and believes everything that he hears, inspired by a healthy imagination. Their summer with Grandpa would be different from their life in the city, as Grandpa would use the boys to help him fix the log cabin in the country he lived in years ago.Besides teaching the boys about hard work and responsibility, Grandpa also shares stories about the history of the log cabin, built by the boys'' great-grandfather Sam. Grandpa Sam was a young settler seeking a new life out west and kept journals that recounted his time catching game, trading, living off the land and even becoming friends with the native Indians in the area. What is most interesting to learn from Grandpa is how faith in God had directed his and Grandpa Sam''s lives; faith in Jesus they relied on to handle several of life''s challenges. The knowledge and lessons about wisdom and courage would serve the boys well, especially when they hear an escaped convict is on the loose in the area and find things missing from around the log cabin. The Charlie Clawson Series: Wisdom & Courage is an enlightening story for young boys and girls to experience early American history, the importance of family and how a relationship with God can help you in a situation. One thing is clear: like Charlie, you will be forever changed by this experience.

"Oftentimes people unintentionally become who they think they are, through the mistreatment of others.""Treasures in the Trash" is the true story of the author who struggled with church leadership''s destructively cruel administration; their actions activated traumatic flashbacks to the author''s childhood. Her experience resulted in unearthing a correlation between abusive parents and detrimental people within the Church. It was in rediscovering the forgotten memories of her early life she began to observe the unhealthy toxic similarities between her former church and childhood. Growing up with alcoholic parents, a detached and distant father and an unstable mentally ill mother, the author overcame a childhood of neglect and harm only to re-experience it within her church family. Church hurts are equally devastating to people as childhood wounds are.She was seeking Biblical-based resolutions to the hardships which developed within her church; however instead of restoration, she was repeatedly told to forget the recurrent unkindness. Similar to her father''s guidance, she was never to speak of the wounds inflicted by self-centered people. Without a solid demonstration in Forgiveness and Grace, healing was elusive and she began to question: ΓÇó Do I have to forgive all the people who hurt me, but never acknowledged their actions? ΓÇó How do I forgive those that profess the same Christian faith, however seemingly don''t practice it? ΓÇó What does being a Christ Follower to unkind, un-trustworthy, critical people resemble? Join the author as she discovers: lies, secrets, scandals, and truth! How she became a survivor and is no longer a victim of abuse. Why she believes revisiting our childhood environments can remove the unwanted trash mistreatment frequently leaves behind, undermining our self-concept. We can gain freedom and victory, with liberating Godly treasure! Read Kristy''s story of redemption, as she shares her triumphant journey of healing.
