While scouting LA recording studios in late 1974 he heard an album by a duo called BUCKINGHAM NICKS (1973). He only wanted the guitarist, but the duo were a package deal. The newly formed quintet hit the recording studio in January/ February 1975, and in July their self-titled album was released.
