The FAO's annual report on developments and issues in world agriculture features a discussion of the WTO multilateral negotiations on agricultural trade and a study on "the cost of hunger" - the negative repercussions that hunger and malnutrition have on economic growth and poverty alleviation.

Highlights the advantages of incorporating participatory and gender approaches in development work. The four-volume set gives guidance to development practitioners on integrating these methodologies into real life development situations in a variety of socio-economic and cultural settings.
