"Post death wishesI impose a time limitI'll give itOne year from nowTo see howI'm living I decidedOn the way home from the suicide centreDirty Thames to the leftTired of deep wishing for courage to diveThat IHad some right to a decent lifeDespiteHaving failed in the greatest endeavourI mightFind something, never betterBut maybe just enough to tetherEnough to delay the boat home And soThe pact was madeInternal, firm were scarred hands that shookSeriously taken, was the promise of that day And loAnd beholdWe are nearingMonth twelveHave I found me a rope? Will it tether or choke?"
