Factory Days

A Chicago factory worker in Reagan's 1980s has finally had enough. Fired three times, lost his girlfriend, lost his apartment and lost his future, he 'blows up' and takes action. And he's not alone. This story is a successor to the proletarian fiction of the 1930s. It draws parallels between the wage slavery of the 1980s and the chattel slavery of the 1860s.
