Emily and Sara

Two good friends representing their school in various sports teams go on holiday with their families to Devon where they succeed in a small football competition. After the summer holidays, they welcome their new P.E. teacher, a football player. The girls excel at the game and go on to represent their school with some distinction, so much so that they are invited to play for their teacher's U17's side, a professional team. Later, they are scouted by the English FA, who ask them to join the potential England squad for training at St. George's Park, The National Football Centre near Burton-on-Trent.
One of the girls is accused of a crime which derails her sporting ambitions, putting her football skills on hold. The other girl works hard to prove her friend's innocence. Eventually, both girls play their way through the difficulties and go on to represent their club during the football trials. Will they succeed? Will they represent their country in an international competition?
