Khalid Jawed (born 9 March 1960) is an Indian Novelist and one of the leading Urdu Fiction Writers. Some of his works include Aakhri Dawat, Nematkhana and Maut ki Kitab, critically acclaimed for his unique style and narrative. Currently he is serving as Professor at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Dr. Khalid Jawed is also considered an expert of popular literature and specially an expert of Ibne Safi. He is equally popular in India and Pakistan for his unique style of fiction writing.Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Hyderabad has awarded M.Phil degrees in Urdu on his novel 'Maut ki Kitab' and 'Aakhri dawat', and Central University, Hyderabad has awarded M.Phil in Urdu on his short stories' collection 'Burey Mausam mein'.
