I was fifteen years-old when Jim Morrison's biography "No One Here Gets out Alive" caught my eye at a local K-Mart store. It was in paperback and although I had heard of The Doors, Morrison was a stranger to me at the time.
Nevertheless, his picture on the front cover was of a cool, young, rebellious rock star, which is what most fifteen year-old male teenagers aspired to be. I had no money to purchase the book, so I went to my father to beg and plead for him to buy me the book that would change my life.
