Om Diabetic neurovessels
Diabetic autonomic neuropathy is an impairment of the autonomic nervous system. It affects many systems and causes the diabetic patient to have a severe handicap in his daily and social life. Among these manifestations is diabetic neurovessia. The prevalence of diabetic neurovessels is uncertain worldwide. Its occurrence is associated with an enormous disruption in the quality of life of diabetic patients and exposes them to potentially serious complications. The diagnosis of this complication is delicate because of the non-specific nature of the symptoms. Also because the tests proposed for its diagnosis are unequal in their sensitivity, reproducibility, pathophysiological interpretation and the difficulty of their realization. This complication results from an impairment of the autonomic nervous system of the vesico-sphincter apparatus. The development of diabetic neurovessels is the result of several complex interrelated mechanisms including changes in the urothelium and its receptors, changes in the morphology and function of the detrusor and accelerated neurodegeneration.
