Dhruvswamini (Hindi)

Shankar Prasad was born on 30 January 1890 at Sarai gowardhan, Kashi. Prasad Ji had his initial education in Kashi, after which his education was managed at home where he studied Sanskrit, Hindi, Urdu and Persian. He was honored with Hindi poet, playwright, novelist and many titles. He died in Kashi on 15 November 1937 due to tuberculosis. Dhruvaswamini is related to the Gupta period in history. This play presents the problem of present times in the antiquity of history. Prasad has shown history as the reigning form of human life by making it his medium of expression.
