Dave and the Lime Tree

Dave and the Lime Tree takes us on a journey with a multi-generational family and a lime tree. Dave and his Grandma Tita live in the small village, Buxton, in Guyana. They both care for an old lime tree and experience many successes and challenges. Dave uses the lessons he learns from Grandma Tita to build a family tradition. Dave and the Lime Tree teaches children about caring for plants, traditions, sharing, making relationships, and self-care. This book links caring for the environment to the cultural traditions of the Caribbean. I hope that children all over the world will make connections to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics(STEM) and culture. Children can create conversations about the circle of life and cultural traditions when caring for the earth.
