Dark Side of My Ribs

There's a creature trapped inside my chest cavity. My ribs are his prison bars. Long ago, he reached between my lungs to tear a shard of bone from the fleshy walls of his cell. Using that bone, the creature scrawls words into my meat. Dark Side of my Ribs is a collection of lyrics and poetry written by A. M. Langston throughout 2019 and 2023. As usual, this collection is a departure from the styles and themes of Langston's previous works. Each page is densely packed in a deep exploration of a broader range of topics than his previous collections, from small bits of every day life to abstract examinations of universal conditions.
