Hugh Oddie has had a rich, fortunate and interesting life.
Throughout his time as a student, teacher, banker, marketer, consultant, father, and sage, he has always written poetry from time to time. This is a companion book to the four books of poetry that he has written and produced. It is a book of exposition of the poems found in those books.
These are notes for each and every poem. Poems come from wineglass flashes, glints on faces, cameos of emotion.
They are words evoked by the light from strikes against the flint of the soul.
There is no right way to write a poem, and I encourage you to attempt it.
