Conscious Toxicity

"Conscious Toxicity" is a collection of Daria Hsu's poems that spans the period from summer 2020 through summer 2023, during which she and her family lived in the United States, the Czech Republic and Taiwan. From postpartum emotional suffering and mental breakdowns through marital conflicts and recurring childhood traumas to the stress of raising a family under authoritarian lockdowns and the difficulty of living as an immigrant in countries that don't welcome differences and dissent, Daria's second collection of poems gives an unapologetic, raw look at her lived experiences and learned lessons.
