A Swiss winds up in Mongolia. The gripping life story of Tom Wuethrich. Tom grows up on a farm in Emmental, Switzerland. When he enters school, he realizes that his deeply religious parents have raised him differently from his peers. He is bullied for being different and often feels lonely. At age 14, he has had enough of the constraints and confinement of his Christian home and says goodbye to his parents' God. He gets involved in the local drug scene and leads his life as a convinced hippie who wants nothing to do with a bourgeois life. As a young adult, he travels the world as a globetrotter and falls in love with South America. With the aim of emigrating to Brazil, he sets off on a round trip of America with a friend. But things turn out differently than he would have thought...
