This edition of Cicero's speeches against Mark Antony includes the first, second, and seventh speeches, known as the Philippics. They were delivered in Rome between 44 and 43 BCE, as part of Cicero's opposition to Mark Antony and his alliance with the Egyptian queen Cleopatra. The speeches are renowned for their passionate rhetoric and political insight.
